I had the privilege of getting to know Tony when we worked together at Abbott. What I recall from our conversations were his stories, his empathetic agreement, "Yes, yes." and his emotional connections, "Oh, Don." Tony was humble and grateful for life, family, employment and his church. Jesus was always present in our fellowship. Good bye for now, Tony.
Tony was a miracle man to me. It was so evident to me that the circumstances around his brain injury in the grocery store, his courage throughout rehab and Tony's will to return home, to work and ministry was by the hand of his faithful Savior.
Sandy, Eric and Jordanna, Tony loved you and deeply appreciated building life with you. His priority was to see you provided for and given opportunities to seek the Lord. Thank you for the way you returned that love and supported him throughout his struggle with ALS. May that family comfort help see you through these days and nights of loss. I am proud that our country could serve Tony and somehow repay him for his active military service.
