Eric and I met Bill and Honey Corbett 45 + years ago because of the "New Comers Club" the Zion Park District had. Marge Senholtz was running the club. We went out for dinner together and had a wonderful time. Honey's laughter and lovely way about her made every occasion special. We would go for long periods of time and not bump into one another and then we would. It was as though no time had passed and we would talk and laugh and get caught up once again.
I was in cardiac rehab and in came Honey with Nick. I had not realized Bill had died and she had remarried. What a sweet man Nick was. She got Nick going on his rehab and we sat and talked and laughed like we had just seen each other two days ago.
Honey was a special gift from God to so many. I treasure the times we just "bumped into each other."
I had to laugh when I realized her name was Marion...I like Honey better.
