What a shock! Just tried to call Lloyd and number disconnected or no longer in service. Googled and saw his obituary. He and Sally were friends with us in Phoenix and I kept in contact after they moved to IL. Then Jack and I moved to Indiana in 2001 and they even came here in 2002 and visited us. I missed getting a Christmas card from him last year but didn’t think much about it. So sorry for the family and I thought I was keeping up with him as I became widowed in 2003. He called me 12-07-09 and said Sally had open heart and didn’t make it. I’m so sorry and hate that I didn’t know earlier. Will also miss him.

It has been many years, but I remember Chief DeTienne well. I was very young and aspired to get into local government in Marshfield - which I eventually did, and Chief was always there to talk to about that and other things. He was a fine man and I always held him in high esteem. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I remember Mr. Detienne well. He was a very dedicated and sincere man. Before ni longer being in Facebook, I would share prayers for the family with his daughter Terry. He was a good father and friend to so many. I just read of his death and want to wish my condolences to his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Lloyd's passing I was unaware that he was ill, as children we spent happy times together, and our children shared happy times when they lived across the street from us in Zion. I was unaware of his passing, as his funereal had already taken place, and I fell very bad I did not know so I could have paid my last respected's. He is with the family now along with Evelyn and Sally. Now there is no more pain and sorrow. He was a great father and cared very much for his city. May God bless you at this time.

He was such a good friend to my momma Mollie Hampton. He helped her get housing at Shiloh Towers and always sent her birthday cards because they shared the same birthdate. Rest in piece Lloyd.

WHAT CAN I SAY THAT HASEN'T ALREADY BEEN SAID. HE ALWAYS HAD TIME TO STOP AND CHAT WITH ME. HIS SMILE MADE EVERYONE FEEL SECURE. HIS BEING ON THE CITY COUNCIL MADE ME FEEL THAT "EVERYTHING IS OK IN ZION".
I WILL MISS SEEING HIM WHEN THE CITY COUNCIL MEETS. I ALWAYS LOOKED FOR HIS FACE AND KNEW ZION WAS IN GOOD HANDS WITH HIM THEIR.

I was saddened to hear of Lloyd's passing. He was a friend and someone I greatly admired and respected.
I am sorry I couldn't attend his services.
He was a dear Christian man who emulated inspect, honesty, faith and care in everything he did. I will greatly miss him, although I rejoice with you that He is with the Lord. There was never any doubt where Lloyd stood in Christ and what a reunion it will be someday with our loved ones and friends in Heaven!
Thank you, Lloyd, for your impact in my life and friendship. Love and prayers to his family and friends!

I've had the pleasure of getting to know Lloyd at his It's All Good "office" for the last 9 years. He was always incredibly kind to all. He had the loveliest singing voice, and often sang to me while I worked behind the counter. This is a memory I will cherish fondly.

Our sympathies, thoughts and prayers go out to the Detienne’s in the loss of Lloyd - our dear Uncle Lloyd. He was the kindest and most caring, and such a contributor to his community in his service with law enforcement, the church, and city council - which I’m sure only scratches the surface of what an incredible person he was.
I will never forget as a little boy, Chief Lloyd would call out on the loudspeaker to us at Granda Beths as he drove past in his patrol car; and it would scare us playing in the yard - where is that voice coming from!
And will never forget getting a ride in the police car with the sirens and flashing lights blazing down the road!
We all will miss him deeply!
Please take care and support each other in the days and months ahead of these very sad days.
Much Love,
Ronn & Ann Eagle
