Betyce we just read Doyle's obituary in the Tupelo, MS Daily Journal. We had not heard of his passing. I have many wonderful memories of him. Uncle Dolphus and Aunt Cora were like grandparents to me and my siblings Lynn and Jeanette. Doyle was a blessing to you, and so many others, and will be remembered with warmth and affection.
I posted two pictures that were made July 24, 2007 when Wayne and I visited you when we were in your area. Very good pictures of both of you.
Thinking of you and your family with Sympathy and remembering you in Prayer.
We send our Love,
Leatrice & Wayne

Really had the opportunity to get to know Doyle during cantata practices at Meadowridge. Also had the pleasure of singing with Brad Durston and we all enjoyed praising the Lord together. Our condolences go out to Bertyce, Phylis, Brad, Emily, and the rest of the extended Cleveland family.

Bertyce n family...
You have our most heartfelt sympathy... Doyle was one of kind, generous nearly to a fault...
Doyle was a happy man always, always a big smile on his face for all...
Oh the Joy it was when he became our Grandpa in 5-6 grade Sunday School class those kiddos loved him as much as he loved them... Just smiles n laughs everytime we had an outing... I can still see him sitting on the front pew at FBC WH when those kiddos asked him if he would be our grandpa... just brings tears of joy that lil action brought... Praise God ... He was taking over for one of his best friends Royce Mink... God is Good. I could go on n on, there is so much good to tell about our friend... i just Thank God that he gave him to all of us for the 81 years as our Deacon, Our Friend, Our Mentor, Our Encourager ... n then to Top it off God gave us Doyle's Beautiful Bride to top it all off... Love you all so much n thank you for sharing you Hubby, Dad, Grandpa with all of us .. What a Servant!!!... "What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see"... Keep on Singing in that Heavenly Choir Doyle

Doyle was a wonderful Christian man. His family moved to Litchfield IL and my family had also moved to Litchfield Il. around the same time. Phyllis and I became great friends. I am blessed to know her and her family. My heart aches for her because she is definitely a daddy’s girl. So sorry to all the family.

I have not met a better man than my Uncle Doyle. He was loving, kind, and generous. He loved God and showed others God’s love by his actions. When I was a teenager, he taught me about being kind and being generous with my time. Just being around him made me want to be a better person. He will be missed by so many, but we will see him again! Love to you all - Bertyce, Phyllis, Jeff, Steve, Lisa and families.

Nary did I see this man without a smile on his face. A gentle giant, a generous soul and a family man to the core. Surely to be missed more than words can express. The army of the Lord is now one soldier stronger. See you on the other side Mr. C
