I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I met her through her neighbor Joanne Myers. When Joanne went to live in the nursing home, I often picked Marilyn up and take her with me to visit. She eventually wasn't able to go with me. Joanne always asked me how she was and how much she wished she could see her.
I really liked your mom and always enjoyed our visits!
Praying that you all find peace, comfort and encouragement during the very difficult days ahead!
Blessings,
Jean Studebaker

To the Povich Family,
Our most sincere and deepest condolences to you on the loss of your Mom! I know that my Mom was waiting for her with cookies and a cup of coffee. They were like Laverne & Shirley those two. The history of our families goes back so far, from our fathers at the steel mill, to our home country of da U.P., to church, to the family get togethers, Steve & I playing in a band, our trips to Michigan. We had so much in common and enjoyed it with each other. Our Mom's taught Sunday School together, and the list goes on. I will remember all of that with fond memories in my heart. She now resides in God's care. May he bless her & keep her!
Sincerely,
Nancy & Jimmy Sinkus

Marilyn was always so kind. I was visiting with Diane on Christmas Eve one year. When it came time for everyone to open presents, Marilyn didn't want me to feel left out so she made sure I had something to open. It was just something small, but I remember feeling so good about it.
She also liked to bake and she gave me my first exposure to kiss cookies. I make them every year at Christmas and I think of her when I do.
She was a kind soul and will be truly missed.
