Obituary of Lora Lee Batalla

Lora "Lori" Lee Batalla, 68 of Zion,  IL was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday,  May 3, 2019 at her home surrounded by her entire family. She was born on February 4, 1951 to the late Veto & Joyce Mitchell in Kenosha,  WI. On April 12, 1993, Lora married her devoted Husband of 26 years, Antonio Batalla, in Waukegan. 

Lora was preceded in death by her sister, Dawn Anderson, her brother, Michael Mitchell, her mother in law,  Asencion Jardon and her niece, Alondra Ayala.

Lora is survived by her husband, Antonio Batalla of Zion, IL; her sons Patrick(Brenda) Domalik of Rogersville, TN, Christopher(Kim) Domalik of Pleasant Prairie, WI, David(Joanna) Domalik of Zion, IL; her daughter,  Angela(Jon) Dougherty of Zion, IL; her brother Cliff(Sophia) Mitchell of Antioch, IL; her brother in laws Dale Anderson of Clearwater, FL, Lamberto(Estela) Ayala of Guerrero, Mexico, Almaquio Nava of Mexico City,  Mexico, Francisco(Gavina) Nava of Los Angeles, CA, Angel(Josefina) Nava of Morelos, Mexico; her sister in laws Silbestra(Ricardo) Nava of Guerrero, Mexico, Petra(Fernando) Batalla of Mexico City, Mexico, her 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Lora also had life long friends Lois(Rick) Lewis, Kathy Adams & Diyanne Ano to share her life with.

Lora was a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt and friend. She was known to many as the "Neighborhood Mom", her door and arms were always open for anyone she met. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Humility Church in Beach Park,  IL. Lora will be deeply missed. 

A visitation to celebrate her life will be Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home,  3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Services will be presided over by Deacon Mike Mercure of Our Lady of Humility Church.
