I love all my memories of Bob. He helped get me out of my shell, as a new Chrisian, by saying, If you give us a chance, we might find something to like about you. He gave me the trick of helping people spell my last name,
Pal. In. California. (palinca). It backfired once when my name appeared on a contract
As Diana Palincalafornia
God gave me the blessing of getting to see Bob and Maria at the garage sale. He said I would go to any lengths to get out of spending an evening with them, referring to a time when he and Maria came to dinner. We had steak and as I cleared the table I managed to kick a dropped steak knife into the side of my other foot. The party broke up as I went to the ER for stitches. He liked to give me a hard time about it. Mostly I love he and Maria's love story and Bob's love for Jesus. He had such an impact on my sons and he is part of their journeys and the lives they are living as wonderful servants of God. He proudly showed pictures of the kids and grandkids. He loves his new church and even reported he was dancing. He is surely dancing now and singing out praises in heaven. His love and legacy live on.

"To live is Christ, and to die is gain." Bob's gain is certainly our loss. We were both unexpectedly shocked and humbled to learn of his passing. How fitting that he departed this earthly existence while engaged in acts of humble service to the Body of Christ.
There was never a doubt that Bob had a heart for the Church and that he cared for people deeply and sincerely. His uplifting spirit and the quiet manner in which he shared the concerns of his heart for the Church will be sorely missed. It was truly a privilege to have had the opportunity to serve in ministry with him for many years.
Maria, may God give you and your family an indescribable peace, filling you with His love and encouragement as only He can do. We will be keeping you in our prayers.

Bob was an encourager. He had an ability to weather difficult times with a smile on his face. When I think of Bob, I will always think of his humor and his engagement in life. He took genuine interest in others. I will miss his insight and brotherhood. I'm so sorry for your loss. If it's possible for eternity to be more enjoyable, Bob is the man for the task. Chet Berry

Bob was a fun loving man when I met him. I asked him what he did. He said, "I am a garbologist." A fancy way of saying he worked with picking up city garbage.
He was easy to talk to and always made you feel valuable.
Sorry he has left Maria, children and family so suddenly. Our prayers will be with you.

Our deepest sympathies to Maria and the family. Bob and Maria were one of the first couples we met when entering the pastorate and we are the richer for it. Bob was a good man who did many good and noble things. What is dearest to me is how he could bring an appropriate sense of humor to the most serious issues. I look forward to seeing Bob again in that day we are all in the direct presence of the Lord. Peace and blessings to all the family.

Bob was our first pastor in Cedar Rapids and officiated our wedding. Maria and him were 2 of the most influential people who brought Tami & I to Christ. Our prayers are with the family right now & I know he is looking down at us right now from heaven with that big smile he always had. Matthew 25:23

Maria, just another face from the neighborhood. As much as I remember our times when all our families camped together at Devil's Lake or just had fun enjoying our summers in our little piece of the Zion, I never had the chance to meet Bob. From what I hear, he was quite the guy and sorry for your and the family's loss.

Dear Maria and family, we were blessed to have known Bob here in the Ft Myers church. His joy in the Lord was evident in the way he worshipped each Sunday with such spirit! Also, his love of people radiated in his smile which seemed to glow every time we spoke with him. He will be greatly missed and we rejoice with you in the knowledge that a reunion awaits us at the feet of Jesus.

Pastor Bob was a very special friend to our family. He was with us during happy times and not so happy times. Memories were made around campfires and parties. He blessed us with words of comfort, advice, jokes, songs and sound Biblical teaching. That's what made him special to us and he will never be forgotten, or the the impact he had on each one of us. Sending our love and prayers to lovely Maria and the whole Brown family. We are so sorry for your loss, Heaven's gain. ♥️

Bob was an exceptional man and to know him for any extent of time meant you have memories. I remember Bob being asked to sing in Church, and he would, loudly! What a voice! What more can I say! I loved Bob’s testimony. Everything about him seemed to be unique. I remember him being sent home from high school because he wore shorts with suspenders and long underwear underneath, which, of course, was visible. Bob was fun and sincere and will be greatly missed by many. So sorry you lost him so soon. Wish I could be there, but am living overseas at this time. Blessings to the family! What a great man!

There were so few families when we lived in Indiana that I felt comfortable allowing my boys to visit or stay with. The Brown family was the exception. Bob Brown was a great dad and role model, especially for boys. I so appreciate his kindness and humor and involvement with Will and Jesse when they were boys. Bob will be missed greatly by so many families whose lives he touched.
Love and prayers to Maria and the boys!
