A DAUGHTER'S WISH
I wish I knew then,
what I know now.
I see what I missed,
since you've been gone.
I wish for your hugs,
and also your kisses.
For all the unconditional love,
that I will forever be missing.
I wish I would have cherished,
all of your attention.
Not brushed it aside,
all your love and consideration.
I wish I would have seen,
that your advice was so smart.
Your life lessons and history,
I should have taken to heart.
It's so sad to know,
most daughters will do the same thing.
They will listen and respect us,
only when it's too late.
