Obituary of Sharon Workman

Sharon L. Workman, age 58, of Zion, IL, died on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at Midwestern Regional Medical Center, Zion, following a long illness. Sharon was born July 16, 1954, in Waukegan, Illinois, and was a 1972 graduate of Zion-Benton Township High School. She then attended the College of Lake County where she obtained certification to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Sharon worked for many local hospitals and nursing homes; for Kenosha and Lake County; Abbott Laboratories, and finally for American Imaging in Deerfield, IL. She enjoyed cross-stitching and had a love of cats and dogs. Sharon is survived by her mother, Martha Rebmann of Zion; sister, Geneva (Jim) Stout of Kenosha, WI; one niece and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter C. Workman; step-father, Benjamin Rebmann; and brothers, Walter and George Workman. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
