Donny, Scott, Jimmy, Donna and Leslie,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families on the passing of your dad.
Whenever I drive by the house on Ash, I remember your dad being out in the yard or when I go by Greenwood School, I remember your mom working as a crossing guard.
Thinking of your parents will always make me smile.

From the Mallory Family,
Don was a great man and friend to our family. He went on many fishing trips with our Dad Jack, and joined him often in a weekly breakfast club. His kindness extended far and wide. I especially remember one time I flew in from Florida to see my Dad in the hospital, and Don picked me up at the airport without hesitation in an effort to help me, my Mom and our family. We had a great conversation about many things, particularly our passion for baseball, and this was one of many acts of kindness he extended to his family and friends.
Our deepest condolences to the Vanderventer family. Papa Don was a great man and will be missed by many. It is my hope that he and Jack Mallory will find a fishing stream together again soon.

Don Vanderventer was my Grandfather and since his passing my mind has been flooded with many fond memories of him and my Grandma Pat. I feel so incredibly blessed to have had such a wonderful, kind, strong and fun Grandpa. I can't put in to words the love and admiration I have for you, Grandpa. I will always be your "katieboop". Even though it hurts to know your gone I'm at peace knowing you are reunited with Grandma Pat.
I send my love and prayers to all the family and friends that are affected by this loss of a truly great man.

I am saddened by the passing of a wonderful man and former Father-In-Law, Don Vanderventer. Since we first met almost 45 years ago he was always interested in my life, my opinions & there whenever I needed advice. He adored my daughter & his first grandchild, Katie Michele. When he came to Utah for a visit in 2007 & held his 1st great-grandchild, Wesley, the love & pride shown on his face with a smile I'll always remember.
God bless this dear, sweet man. I know you're in a better place with Pat, the love of your life.
