Dan, Danny Boy, Dano was the baby brother of seven siblings, who took an early interest in all things aviation, airplanes, and flight. He was an avid artist, who started drawing and painting with his mother at a young age and had a lifetime appreciation for the world of art. A talented drummer, he loved making music and finding new music of all genres to enjoy and share with others, especially when his brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews could "rock out" with him or play along. Dano inspired us all to see, hear, and enjoy things with an attitude of wonder. If he could work on something with his hands or spend time talking, laughing a big laugh, and sharing stories with loved ones and friends, he was happiest. Dan was a life-long friend to animals and parent to several cats and dogs. He will most be remembered for his bright-eyed view of the world, his welcoming spirit and huge heart, and his limitless sharing of joy. He made friends wherever he went, working behind the bar or consulting about art on the gas tank of a Harley; meeting people and forming bonds with anyone he met was his special gift. Dano's loss will be felt across so many areas of his life - his family, friends, co-workers and customers at Waukegan Airport and the bars where he worked, and by people who have commissioned or enjoyed his art, which can be found on motorcycles, wall murals, airplanes, and beyond. There is no replacing the energy, talent, and always smiling Dano in our lives.
