Obituary of Joseph Patrick DeBennette

Joseph Patrick DeBennette, of Wadsworth, IL, passed away on December 14, 2018 at Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest, IL.

He was born in Waukegan, IL on July 28, 1929. Joseph graduated high school and worked until retiring as a Business Agent through the Laborer’s Local Union #152. He was a longtime member of Our Lady of Humility Parish in Beach Park, IL and throughout his life had lived in Beach Park, North Chicago, and Waukegan, IL. He married his beloved Nancy on February 14, 1994 in Waukegan, IL.

Joseph is survived by his wife Nancy McBride Swalley DeBennette; children, Susan DeBennette of San Pedro, CA, Michael (Susan Hoselton) DeBennette of Beack Park, IL, Patrick (Kim) DeBennette of Grayslake, IL, Dennis (Marsha) DeBennette of Kenosha, WI, Robert (Karri) DeBennette of Beach Park, IL; step-children, Tami (George) Efsen of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Jeff (Shelly) Swalley of Ardmore, PA, Stephen (Stacey) Swalley of Libertyville, IL; grandchildren, Madison DeBennette, Jon and Ben Efsen, Jack, Nate, and Daniel Swalley, and Brittany and Morgan Durrah; along with 3 great-grandchildren.
