Obituary of Murldene M. Harnden

Murldene Mae (Ehlers) Harnden, age 89, died Friday, December 14th, 2018. She was born December 15th, 1928 in Zion, IL to William and Inez Ehlers. Murldene worked at Highland Park Hospital, Victory Memorial Hospital, and VA Hospital in both North Chicago, IL and Seattle, WA from which she retired. She became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1958 and remained faithful to her death. 

Murldene is survived by her sister Marciel (Ehlers) Walsh (John), and brothers Marlin (Tony) Ehlers (Carmen), and Melvin Ehlers. She is also survived by her children: Robert Harnden (Rosanne), Danny Harnden (Lori), Jacqueline (Harnden) Jones, Carol (Harnden) Colbert, Diana (Harnden) Beckwith (Gary), Merle Harnden (Cindy Maier), Jimmy Harnden, Tommy Harnden (Stacey), 27 grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins and her sweet 13-year-old puppy Cali. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Inez Ehlers, husband Vernie E. Harnden, daughter Katherine (Harnden) Lauzon, sons Vernie Harnden and Richard Harnden, step sons Donald and Lyle Harnden, granddaughter Heather, and grandson Matthew, as well as 
siblings Marvin Ehlers, Mary (Ehlers) Sperry, Merle Ehlers, and Martin Ehlers. 

Services will be held January 5th, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s witnesses in North Chicago, IL at 2222 Argonne Dr., North Chicago, IL 60064. We will love you forever. See you in paradise.
