Obituary of Hermina Chmielecki

Hermina "Minnie" Chmielecki, 90, of Zion, formerly of Chicago, died on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Terrace Nursing Home in Waukegan. She was born September 24, 1922 in Chicago and lived in Chicago most of her life, moving to Zion 17 years ago. Survivors include her daughters Fran (Wayne) Brenden of Beach Park, IL and Theresa Mendoza of Zion, IL; three grandchildren Amanda Mendoza, Rebecca (Keith) Bone, and Chad (Stephanie) Brenden; five great-grandchildren Paxton, Ryan, Callum, Ian, and Gavin; and siblings Mitchell (Mary Jo) Jurasz, Joni (Ed) Stasch, Elaine (Rich) Szyszka, and Leonard (Mariana) Jurasz. She was preceded in death by her husband Waclaw in 1997; one great-grandchild Rex Brenden in 1996; and siblings Stella, Leo, Ted, Edwin, Eugene, and Florence. Visitation will be Sunday, December 2, 2012, from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL. Funeral Mass will be Monday, December 3rd, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Road, Beach Park, IL, with private cremation to follow.
