Obituary of Edward George Bukantis

Edward George Bukantis, 79, of Waukegan, IL, died November 22, 2018 in Zion, IL.

 

Edward was born April 10, 1939 in Waukegan, IL.  He married Donna Franz on April 23, 1960.  Edward graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1957.  He was a member of Our Lady of Humility Church in Beach Park.  Edward retired from American Can Company and later from the Waukegan Department of Motor Vehicles.  He was a Chicago Cubs, Bears and Blackhawks fan.  He also loved to follow Notre Dame Football.  He grew the most beautiful and fragrant tea roses.  He also loved feeding and watching all kinds of birds.

 

Edward is survived by his beloved wife, Donna K. Bukantis; sons, Richard E. Bukantis, and Randy P. (Debbie) Bukantis; grandchildren, Amber M. Bukantis, Carly A. Bukantis, Stephanie E. (Bradley) Ottersen, and Ryan M. Bukantis; sister, Therese Berger; brothers-in-law, Eugene Shields, and Robert (Jane) Franz.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Bukantis;  father, George Bukantis; and sister, Lorraine Bruecks.

 

Services will be private for the family.
