Obituary of Virginia Jamerson

Virginia Jamerson, 81, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, passed away November 27, 2018 at Advocate Condell Hospital in Libertyville, IL.

She was born March 19, 1937 in Mantachie, MS. She was a lifelong member of Lakeview Church in Zion, IL. She ran and operated  J. W. Copen & Jamerson Excavation in Winthrop Harbor for many years.

    Virginia is survived by her children; Angie (Jim) Gilmore of Beach Park,, Kerry (Emi) Jamerson of Lexington, KY; Jamie Ianson, Scott (Kim) Gilmore, Uli Spradlin, Derek (Brittney) Rush Ryan and Kevin Jamerson; five great-grandchildren, sisters; Laura Jane (Gordon) Fielder, Anita (Roger) Akers, and her dear friend Lauren Haas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Teresa Ann Derfler, great-granddaughter Jaina Spradlin, brother Roger Thornton, and her sister Alvia Burleson.
            
Visitation will be held Friday, November 30, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099. Services and burial will take place at Senter Funeral Home, in Fulton, MS.
