Obituary of Scott Stickel

Scott Stickel, 52, of Waukegan, IL passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington, WI.

Scott was born July 15, 1966 to Harry and Mary Ann Stickel in Waukegan, IL.  He was a 25 year resident of Zion before moving to Waukegan.  Scott graduated from Zion Benton High School, class of 1984 and was employed as an Electrician with IBEW Local 150.  He was an intricate part of Pit Bull rescue groups in the area, an avid fisherman and gardener, and loved to watch sports, football, baseball and especially racing.  He loved watching his nephews Ryan and Eric play hockey. He also loved being a weekend mechanic.

Scott is survived by his mother, Mary Ann; sister, Sandy (Larry) Wozny; nephews, Ryan and Eric; girlfriend, Dawn Wilkinson; and his dog, Speedway Sammy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Stickel. 

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL 60099.
