Obituary of Richard Learmont

Richard Learmont, 70, of Beach Park, IL, passed away October 7, 2018 after a 15 years long battle with cancer.

Richard was born June 12, 1948 in Waukegan, IL at Victory Hospital.  On February 14, 1994 he married Deborah Rumph.  He owned and operated R&D Home Repairs and Construction.  He was a lover of animals and liked to fish in his early years.  He was a great carpenter and made beautiful shelves and wooden benches for Deborah.

Richard is survived by his wife of 24 years, Deborah; children, Michele Learmont of Kenosha, WI, Shawn (Cheryl) Learmont of Zion, IL, Sara (Chuck) Miller of Kenosha, WI, Jimmy (Janette) Rumph of Kenosha, WI, Christine (Dan) Christiansen of Pleasant Prairie, WI; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Mike (Cheryl) Learmont and LeRoy (Sandra) Learmont of MN; sister, Teri Learmont of MN and 4-legged children Lisa and Sammy.

He was preceded in death by his Uncle Jack and Aunt Faye Preston and his parents, Robert and Myra Learmont.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at the Cancer Treatment Center of America for the exceptional care they gave Richard.
