Obituary of Allen Maki

Allen W. "Al" Maki, 56, of Zion, IL, and Marquette, MI, died on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at his home in Zion. Al was born February 3, 1956, in Waukegan, IL, and graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School in 1974. He worked as a Journeyman Machine Repairman for various firms. Al loved the outdoors, especially motorcycling and snowmobiling. Survivors include his father and mother, Mattias and Laila Maki of Zion, IL; sisters, Kathy (Rob) Anderson of Zion, IL, Linda (Jeff Galang) Maki of Morris, IL, and Cyndi Harris of Waukegan, IL; nephews, Robert (Tracy Lawler) Anderson of Kenosha, WI, Kyle Anderson of Zion, IL, and Kevin (Audrey) Mager of Freedom, IN; niece, Lisa (Charlie) Cain of Seattle, WA; and other family. Al was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tommy Harris. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL, with Rev. Jeffrey Koth of St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Waukegan, officiating. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
