Dear Bill, Gary, and Jeff,
My heart is heavy for you today as you say
goodbye to your mom, my Aunt Dena. But, I am
confident that I will see her again in Heaven.
So, for me, it is not goodbye, but see you later.
I pray that each of you knows Jesus as your
personal Savior and can say the same.
Aunt Dena and my mom, Edna, were the closest in age of the ten children. They were the two
cabooses in their family. What one of them didn't think
of, the other did. I have enjoyed hearing stories of their
growing up together.
Of course, Aunt Dena had three boys and so did my
mom. That is until I finally came along. I can remember Aunt Dena kinda spoiling me. One time she made me
a beautiful red velveteen dress with a white collar
decorated with the most beautiful pins. I felt so
special.
I can remember getting to go on several vacations
with Aunt Dena and Uncle Claire and my mom.
These were always very special times. It was the only time I got to go on vacation as a kid. I really don't remember where we went, but simply that I got to go.
Aunt Dena and Uncle Claire will always be remembered very fondly.
