Obituary of Patricia D. Swager
Patricia D Swager died suddenly at her home in San Tan Valley Arizona on August 6, 2018. She was formerly of Zion, Illinois.
She was the wife of the late H.A. “Luckie” Swager. Pat worked many years in the retail grocery service at Piggly Wiggly. Along with working, after the death of her husband she began volunteering much of her time. She was a volunteer aide for former Senator Geo-Karis; she sat on Urban Housing Development Commission for Lake County, Illinois; and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Winthop Harbor. She moved twenty years ago to Arizona to ensure quality time with her grandchildren, she continued to work in the retail grocery service, now for Fry’s Marketplace. She once again, continued to volunteer her time most recently at Mountain Vista Medical Center
Survived by daughter Melissa (Tim) Nissen; grandson Daulton Nissen; grandaughter Briana Nissen.
She is also survived by children from her previous marriage, daughter Monica Walter and son Gregory Walter. She will also be missed by Luckie’s children Ronald Swager, Gail Bannister and Tracy A. Swager; and granddaughter SherylBrack
A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m with a memorial service immediately following. Private interment will take place later at Pineview Cemetery in Beach Park.
