Obituary of Tokie Henninger

Tokie Henninger, age 86, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, passed away on Saturday August 11, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born in Tokunoshima, Japan on November 26, 1931, the daughter of the late Cho Toyo and Goze Shimzu. In the early sixties she married Wesley Henninger and later moved to the United States. Wesley preceded her in death on August 26, 2005.  Tokie was employed at Cherry Electric for over 20 years until her retirement.

Surviving Tokie are her son, John (Delores) Henninger of Cedar Creek, TX, two grandchildren Jarred and Raistlin.  She is further survived by other relatives in Japan and many friends.

A visitation will be held at the Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion on Friday August 17, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m..  Interment will be held at Pineview Cemetery in Beach Park, IL.
