I send my deepest condolences to Val's family. She loved you so much and enjoyed telling me about you all. I've been friends with her since the sixth grade at Glen Flora School, and then we walked to Daniel Webster Jr High every day. It was never boring, hanging out with Val. We'd get home from school and go to her house and watch American Bandstand. Then she's hop on the piano and play "Spinning Wheel". I'll never forget that song. We went Trick or Treating together and had such fun. Then when she got her driver's license we'd "scoop the loop" downtown in Waukegan. My happiest childhood years were spent on Ash Street, and having my best friend living across the street.I loved her mom, Thelma, too. She was so nice, and her big brother,, Ward, was such a sweet guy. I'm going to keep you all in my prayers at this painful time. Much love, Penny. ( Fort Lauderdale, Florida)
