Obituary of Dorothy Putwen

Dorothy F. Putwen (nee Miseska), 91, of Zion passed on May 25, 2018. 

She was born in Chicago, and lived her last 47 years in Zion.  Dorothy suffered from many complications with her health. She is now at peace with our Lord. 

Dorothy is the beloved mother of Cindy (Jeff Zielinski) Stollings, Michael (Christine) and Patrick (Erin); devoted grandmother of Will (Andrea), John (Amanda), Brian (Cynthia), Laura, Amanda (Justin),  Sara and Keenan; one brother (Paul); and one sister in law Geri Olinski; she will be deeply missed by her best friend and protector, Sammie.

Preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Tony; a dear son Bill and her devoted mother Sophie; and one brother William. 

She will be deeply missed by so many. Dorothy had a big heart and was full of kindness to so many. She loved to read, see pretty flowers and lighthouses. 

Services for Dorothy will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018.  A visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion.  A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m.  Interment will be private for the family.  Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers.
