Obituary of Lloyd A. Nelson

Lloyd A. Nelson, age 65, of Beach Park, Il, passed away on May 1, 2018 at his residence, surrounded by his wife and family.

He was born on October 8,1952 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Dave Byrd and Estelle Nelson.  Lloyd served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He was employed for Ann Kiley Developmental Center in Waukegan for many years until his retirement in 2014.

On April 26, 2015 he married Margaret Nash.  Lloyd loved cooking, grilling out, watching movies, working out and spending time with his family.

Surviving Lloyd are his wife Margaret; two sons; William (Denice), and Lloyd Jr.; two sisters, Christina Mcintosh and Evelyn Williams.  He is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

A visitation will be held at the Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion, on Tuesday May 8, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
