Dear Laura, Maria, Mrs. Perez and family,
I am honored to have known Mr. Perez for more than 35 years. What a gentle, wonderful, funny, dapper Dad, Husband, Brother, Friend, Uncle & Grandpa he was. He definitely left an impact on me and I enjoyed visiting him and Mrs. Perez and the children when I came home to Zion.
Laura, Maria and Mrs. Perez and family, Richard Perez was special to me and to everyone. I will treasure memories being with your family always. I am very sorry that I could not be with you all at this time. You are in my thoughts and prayers. My parents send the love and thoughts as well and were very saddened to hear about his passing.
With love,
Jackie Lay and Family

Elizabeth, Laura,and Maria,
I am so sorry for your loss! Richard was the kindest man I ever met. He would bring his watches to me at Wal-Mart and I would change the batteries for him. He sure loved his watches. He was always smiling no matter what he was going thru. He had the biggest heart and never had anything bad to say about anyone. Please know that he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!!! God Bless!! Hold on to all those great memories!!!

Uncle Richard was one of the kindest, funniest and dearest human beings I’ve ever known. He had a way of drawing you in, invading your space (in a nice way), whispering in your ear (as if he were going to reveal some family secret), then, with a twinkle in his eye, snickering mischievously to see what kind of reaction he might get from you. My reaction was always delight and I delighted spending time with this wonderful man.
I know you, as a family, are hurting now and, of course, the pain is real, but I pray that the pleasant reflections of this kind and warm human being will help ease the pain.
All my love,
Allen

To all my family. My heart breaks for you. I will miss him dearly as you will. But know that he touched so many people and was so proud and humble of his family. He was a very special man and his faith showed to all that he met. He was a wonderful story teller, and they were all "true." He loved his music and I will always have him by my side with a smile in my heart when I hear his favorite tunes. I will miss you. Through his family and his children, they will carry his legacy of love. A special hug for Auntie Liz. Love Diana

Uncle Richard was one of the sweetest, caring, loving and giving men I've ever known. Many memories come to mind when I think of him. I still have the Bible he surprised me with when I visited Aunt Liz and him during a break from college, in the mid-60's. My thoughts and prayers will be with all of you, now and in the future., Love you so much!
