Obituary of June Yuhase

June Alice Yuhase (Rassch) passed away March 26, 2018 at Hillcrest Nursing Center. She was born May 23, 1925 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On December 15, 1945, she married Frank G. Yuhase and they built a home together in Beach Park, Illinois. June loved baking, gardening, knitting, coloring with her children and grandchildren. In her later years, watching birds and wildlife in her back yard. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan rooting for them whether they were winning or losing. Thankfully she was aware that they had won the world series. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Margaret Raasch, a son, Douglas, her son-in-law, James I. Clark and her husband, Frank. June is survived by her daughters, Sandra Boreen (Bruce) of Grand Rapids, MN, Lori Ashton (Dean) of Beach Park, IL., and son, Gary Yuhase of Waukegan, IL. She is also survived by grandchildren Scott Clark (Agnes), McHenry, IL., Sarah Yuhase, Comfrey, MN., Ian Ashton (Katlyn), Kenosha, WI., Hannah Ashton, Beach Park, a Great-Granddaughter, Annamarie Clark, McHenry, IL., and a Great-granddaughter due to be born in May. June is also survived by a cousin, Dawn Barens, Zion, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials could be sent to the Ann & Robert Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, IL through their website at www.luriechildrens.org. The family would also like to extend their gratitude to the Hillcrest Nursing Center for the exceptional care they provided for June.

Interment will be at Mount Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, IL at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6th, 2018.
