Obituary of Coralie Ann Cox
Coralie Ann Cox (nee Myers), 88, of Zion, IL, died on March 24, 2018 at Rolling Hills Manor in Zion.
Coralie was born July 14, 1929 in Zion. She attended Zion-Benton Township High School. Coralie married EG Cox, the love of her life, on October 27, 1962 in Zion. She was a member of Christ Community Church and worked for North Shore Welders, the Cookie Factory at Zion Industries, and Zion City Hall. Coralie was an avid researcher of genealogy and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking, and country music.
She is survived by her husband EG Cox; children Suzanne (Jack) Aker, Becky (Gary) Baumbach, and Terrance (Carol) Hefley; step-son Donnie Cox; grandchildren Jason (Renee) Aker, Shannon (Tim) Guyer, Lawrence Baumbach, Leigh Baumbach; great-grandchildren Braydon, Olivia, Sarah, Kaitlin, Wyatt, Brycen, Olivia, Skylar; siblings Jerrid (Betty) Myers, Joyce Fehler, Virginia Adams, and Eugene Myers; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother James and Ruby Myers; sister Sherylin VanSpankeren; and a brother William Myers.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. In lieu of flowers donations to Christ Community Church Missions have been suggested.
