Obituary of Gerald A. Seger

Gerald A. Seger, 75, of Zion, IL, passed away on March 23, 2018.

Gerald was born September 5, 1942 in Melrose Park, IL.  He married Rebecca Roberts on April 8, 1978.  He worked as a carpenter with Union 250.  Gerald’s ring tone was his way of life, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”.  Gerald was a good husband, father and grandfather.  He will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca Seger; children Tonya (Dan) Haase, Tina (Eugene) Seger, Skip Seger, Tony Seger and Jimmy Winder; grandchildren Grace, Lyla, Eugene, Trina, Michael, and Timmy; brother George Zell; and sisters Judy Camron, and Joanne Depew.  

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Joseph and Isabelle (Paddock) Seger and siblings Myrna Depew, Donna Moon, and Betty Devorak.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 10:00 until 12:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion.  A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m.  Interment will be private for the family.  Please visit the online guest book at www.congdonfuneralhome.com.
