Obituary of Barbara Ann Davis

Barbara Ann Davis (McCulloch), 83, of Pleasant Prairie, WI and formerly of Zion, IL passed through to heaven to be with her Lord on March 6, 2018 just a day before her birthday.  In the week preceding her death she was surrounded by her devoted family who will dearly miss her loving presence in their lives.

Barb was born March 7, 1934 at home in Zion, IL to John and Edythe McCulloch.  Barb attended preschool in the College Building, grade school at Lakeview, and Zion-Benton High School graduating with the class of 1952.  After graduation, Barb and thirteen high school girlfriends met monthly for their “club” and continue to do so. After high school Barb worked at the Zion State Bank and married Clinton L. Davis on November 8, 1952.  In 1954 she began her family and became a homemaker to lovingly raise her four children, Doug, Susan, Jeff and Sharon. She served her Lord as a Sunday school teacher, helper with the Zion Passion Play, the women’s service ministries of the Christian Catholic Church, and as a Godly wife, mother, and grandmother.   At her passing, she was a faithful member of Lakeview Church.

Barb is survived by: her children Doug and Judy Davis, Zion, IL, Susan and Michael Wimmer, Bristol, WI, Jeff and Linda Davis, Brookfield, WI, Leigh and Robin Harrison, Brooklyn Park, MN.  Her grandchildren whom she loved dearly and prayed for every day: Rick Davis and Asma Mohiuddin, Julie Scott and Adam Freeman, Jackie and Alej Estrada, Kristy and Jake Finn, Stevie Wimmer and Emily Meyer, Daniel Wimmer, Sarah and Brandon Feil, Abbey and Joe Harkins, Garrett, John, and Trent Harrison.  Her great grandchildren in whom she found great delight: Jared Scott, Dylan Freeman, Micah and Matthew Estrada, Luke and Annabelle Finn, Eli, Graham, Titus, and Norah Feil, Zeke and Finn Harkins. Her siblings Elaine and Tim Thomas, Pleasant Prairie, WI, Lerita McCulloch, Waukegan, IL and Eleanor Davis, Beach Park, IL.   

Barb was preceded in death by: her husband, Clint Davis; her parents, John and Edythe McCulloch and her father and mother-in-law, Charles and Esther Davis; her daughter, Sharon Harrison; her grandson, John Michael Davis; her brother, Bob McCulloch; her brother and sister-in-law, Marland and Caroline Folkers.

A visitation will be held at Congdon Funeral Home, Zion, IL on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 4:30 pm until 7:30 pm.  A memorial service will be held at Lakeview Church, Zion, IL on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor Les Martin officiating.  Memorials to ZEMA or Camp Zion would be appreciated.
