Obituary of Garry Lindsey

Garry L. Lindsey Sr., 60, of Zion, IL died on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Vista Medical Center in Waukegan, IL. Garry was born May 22, 1952 in Waukegan, IL. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church of Gurnee. Garry worked at Hirsh Display Fixtures of Deerfield, IL for many years and was a cabinet maker by trade. He was also a charter member of Zion Township Lions Club. Garry had a very outgoing personality and was well loved by all who knew him, putting other people before him always. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Kristine; five children Garry L. (Christina) Lindsey Jr. of Gurnee, IL, Audra (Toby) Karwoski of Norfolk, VA, Erica Lindsey and Paul Lindsey both of Beach Park, IL, and Justin (Jasmine) Lindsey of Zion, IL; nine grandchildren Megan, Mariah, Anthony, Alexander, Alexis, Lauren, Klara, Abigail, and Leland; two great-grandchildren Tatiana and Avery; his mother Doris Lindsey of Zion, IL; siblings Brenda (Gordon) Fuller of Zion, IL, Phyllis (Steve) Leith of Blue River, WI, and Randall (Judy) Lindsey of Polo, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Nicholas "Nick" Lindsey; one brother Edwin Lindsey; and his father James Early Lindsey. Visitation will be Sunday, November 11, 2012, from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, 5110 Grand Avenue, Gurnee, IL. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church with Pastor Ben Squires officiating. Interment will be Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
