Obituary of Dean F. Claussen Jr.

Dean Claussen Jr, of Winthrop Harbor, IL passed away January 13, 2018.

Dean was born on August 16, 1957 to Dean and Ruby Claussen.  He grew up in Chicago, spending his formative years in Streamwood.  On December 27, 1990 he married Lisa Bonafacchi.  He was employed with Zion District 6 Schools for 5 years.  He attended Lakeview Church in Zion, IL.  Dean was an avid Cubs fan; he enjoyed Nascar and going to the shooting range.

Dean leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 27 years, Lisa; children, Leland, Paige and Austin; and siblings, Macie Bonner, Lew Claussen and Mike Claussen.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Dean will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018, at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., with a funeral service beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Interment will be private for the family.
