Obituary of Waitman Egnor

Waitman "Harold" Egnor, age 71, a Waukegan resident of 40 years, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2012. Harold was born July 22, 1941, in Charleston, WV, to Robie and Wilcie Egnor. He worked for many years for Ernie's Wrecker Service in Vernon Hills, IL and retired from Whitmore's Wrecker Service in Waukegan. He was a grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, and husband with a huge heart and committed his life to raising children and grandchildren that were not his own but treated like his own. He made great sacrifices and worked hard for his family. Harold was a person who was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his fiancé, Marian (Anderson) Budnik; of Waukegan, IL; step-children, Judy (Randy) Lindsey, Rick Jensen, Sharon (Rick) Adenau, and Troy (Heidi) Jensen; 6 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Agness Susie Egnor Humphrey of Deerfield, IL, Rebecca Joyce Egnor Dunn of Julian, WV, and Pamela Jane Egnor Cooper of Griffithsville, WV; and brother, Carl Edward Egnor of Julian, WV. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Egnor; and sister, Izola May Egnor Bragg. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Friends may greet the family on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home
