Obituary of Thomas F. Scott

Thomas F. Scott, 84 of Zion, IL passed away December 29, 2017.

Thomas was born November 1, 1933 in Waukegan IL to Paul and Olive Scott.  He attended Warren Township High School.  He met and married Leona on April 18, 1964 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Zion. He worked for ComEd for over 40 years before retiring.  He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching football and basketball.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors and going to rummage and estate sales with Leona.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Leona; children, John Murphy, Jeff Murphy, Ron (Cindy) Scott and Tina (Tom) Eckhart; grandchildren, Tiffany, Susan and Michael; and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Mike Scott.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 1800 23rd Street, Zion, IL.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Thomas’ name can be made to the church.  Entombment will be private for the family.
