Obituary of Jerry Clark

Jerry Odell Clark, 77 of Zion, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on January 1, 2018. Jerry was born August 18, 1940 in Tremont, Mississippi. He made his home in Zion since 1968. Jerry retired from AMC/Chrysler, then later from Zion Elementary School District 6. Jerry was known for his great sense of humor and hearty laugh. He loved golfing with family and friends, but nothing meant as much to him as spending time with family. 

Jerry is survived by his wife, Tennie of 58 years; daughter Jeannie (Larry) Booth; son Rodney Clark; grandchildren Brandon (Lori) Booth, Kelci Hanson, and Madison Clark; great-grandchildren JD, Ashlynn, Leilani, Becca and a fourth great-granddaughter due in July. He is also survived by a special niece Kim Scheck, sisters Mary Burleson, Jeanette Drew and Phyllis Morris, and brother Terry Clark, brother-in-law Bill Raper and sister-in-law Dorothy Hood. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Flora Clark and in-laws Arthur and Mittie Raper, as well as other beloved family members.

Visitation will be held and Congdon Funeral Home located at 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion IL 60099 on Thursday, January 4th, 2018 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m.  A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m.
