Obituary of Mavis Louise Young

Mavis Louise Young went to be with Jesus on December 28, 2017. She was 92 years old.  She was born in Tishomingo, Mississippi on October 18, 1925 to Ellis Corbin Hacker and Hattie (Smith) Hacker. She was the oldest of 16 children. 

Mavis married James Paul Young in 1945. 

When Mavis was 25, she moved from Mississippi to Illinois. They lived in North Chicago, Illinois for fifty years.  She is survived byfour children; Dorothy, Doris, Jim, and Deborah,14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Paul in 2008. 

Mavis will be deeply missed loved by her family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday January 5, 2018 at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion, IL from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 12:30 p.m.. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Chapel.Please visit the online guest book at www.congdonfuneralhome.com.
