Pastor Blomquist was a fine pastor and terrific friend. He gave a job to me;an inexperienced young woman 40 years ago when I was in need of employment and provided steady encouragement and guidance. I will be forever grateful. During his later years,I saw the Prayer journal he kept recording scores of petitions to the Father. He was a tremendous minister of the Gospel even in his infirmity. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints"
Pastor Blomquist was the pastor of my childhood and confirmation years (late 1950’s through 1960’s). His quidance was the basis for my memories of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was very kind and wise, with an excellent memory. To his family, my sincere sympathy for your loss.
