Obituary of Patricia A. Fruit

Patricia A. Fruit “Pat”, 81, of Zion passed away on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 at Vista Health Care, with her husband by her side.

She was born in Williams, Iowa on October 16, 1936, the daughter of the late Howard and Esther Neuroth Ferrigan. Her family moved to Chicago and later Fox lake.  She was educated in the schools of Fox Lake and graduated from Fox lake High. 

On July 1, 1989, she was united in marriage to James Fruit in Waukegan, IL. Pat was employed as an office manager for over twenty years for her brothers plumbing business, “David Ferrigan Plumbing”  until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her husband.

Surviving Pat is her husband of 29 years, James, two step sons; Jeffrey Lee (Trava) Fruit and William Kenneth (Catherine) Fruit, six grandchildren; Katherine, Melissa, Matthew, Jacquelyn, Natalie and Kennedy.  She is further survived by brothers, sisters, other relatives and many friends.

A visitation will be held at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion, IL, on Thursday, December 7th from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m.  Interment will be held privately at Elmwood Cemetery, Elmwood, IL.
