Obituary of Dorothea Hoyle

Dorothea M. (Nelson) Hoyle, of Waukegan, IL passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in Zion, IL at age 81. She was born November 24, 1930 in Chicago Heights, IL. She graduated from Warren Township High School in Gurnee, IL. Dorothea worked many years as a beautician, florist, and crafter. She enjoyed sporting activities like volleyball, bowling, square dancing, golf and fishing. Her hobbies included painting, sewing, knitting, and woodworking. She is survived by one brother Edward Nelson; one sister Virginia (Robert) Eimerman; four daughters, Diane Newman, Brenda (Mark) Tait, Rosemary (Michael) Maglio, Cynthia (Robert) Saffell; one son, Larry Hoyle (Kathy); 10 grandchildren, Andrea, Melissa, Ryan, Alexander, Andrew, Branden, Nathan, Collin and Megan; 2 great grandchildren, Samantha and Christian. She was proceeded in death by her husband Leslie Hoyle; mother Paris Nelson; father Allen Nelson; brothers Allen Nelson Jr., Raymond Nelson, and one grandchild, Dennis. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Congdon Funeral Home at 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Services will be held at 12:00pm at the Funeral Home with procession to Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Catholic Charities are requested.
