Obituary of Richard William Jensen

Richard William Jensen, age 56, passed on Tuesday, November 20, 2017 at Vista Medical Center East.

He was born in Waukegan, IL on January 5, 1961, the son of Richard E. Jensen and Norma J. Jensen.  Richard was a life-long resident of Waukegan.  He enjoyed grilling, was a great handyman and also enjoyed doing his craft projects as time permitted.  He always looked forward to the Holidays and the joy they would bring.  He also enjoyed NASCAR racing.

He is preceded in death by his father Richard; step-father Wayne Childers; and best canine buddy Gunner.

He is survived by his wife Amy Jarvis-Jensen; mother, Norma; sister, Jodi Anderson; nieces, Jennifer Demo and Sarah Anderson; grand-nephew, Kai Demo; grand-nieces, Lily and Olivia Vandervere, Alicia and Amber Jarvis; and his beloved dog Pepper.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 128 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave, Waukegan.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the church would be appreciated.
