Dear Pauline, Gary, Paula and your family, and friends of Bob.
We were so sorry to hear of the loss of Robert. Robert was a very good person who we always admired and being with during our times together in Quincy.
Robert was an uncle to Susie Ostermiller who passed away in 1996. Susie was my wife, and mother to our two sons, Jeff and Greg Portsche. Susie was the daughter of Robert's brother Virgil and his wife Ruth.
We always enjoyed Robert and Pauline coming down to Quincy from Waukegan at times of the Ostermiller family gatherings, and on some occasions, having the opportunity to meet Paula and Gary. We always enjoyed visiting with Robert, who was always very kind to our family.
We also thank Robert, and his three brothers Ray, Virgil and Gene from Quincy, for their military service to our country at time of need in the conflicts abroad,
While we will not be able to travel to Robert's service on this Saturday, please know that each of you are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
