Obituary of Roy Alexis Flood
Roy A. Flood, 80, of Zion, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Rolling Hills Health Care Center.
He was born in Elcho, WI on August 7, 1937, the son of the late Roy and Helen Marion Reynolds Flood. He was educated in the schools of Elcho. WI and served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
On October 3, 1959 he was united in marriage to Virginia Stewart at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Waukegan, IL.
Roy was employed by Kelso-Burnett Electrical Contractors for over 40 years.
As a hobby machinist Roy enjoyed building model steam engines and working on tractors.
Surviving Roy is his wife Virginia of 58 years; two sons; Norman (Renee) and Nelson (Kathy) Flood, two grandchildren Erin and Kyle (Tamara) Flood, two great grandchildren; Lillian and Tristan; two step grandchildren; Rick (Beth) and Jim (Heather) Leonowitz and three step great grandchildren; Madeleine, Declan and Tegan, his sister; Marion Flood and brother Charles (Angie) Flood. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
A visitation will be held at Christ Community Church 2500 Dowie Memorial Drive Zion, IL on Saturday November 11, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon. Interment will be private.
