Obituary of Lawrence Tessmer

Lawrence J. Tessmer, 62, departed this life on earth to his new heavenly home on September 30, 2017. 

Larry was dedicated to his job working for ComEd for close to 39 years until his health failed him and he could not continue.  Throughout his life he enjoyed time with his family, swimming at the RecPlex and seeing his favorite groups in concert.  He will be missed immensely by all who loved him.

Lawrence is survived by his wife of 32 years, Laurie; his mother, Corrine Tessmer; nieces Robin (Dennis) Dostalek, Rebecca (Jim) Cook, Tonya (Jerry) Binkley, Tabitha (Wayne) Jaworek and their sons, Steven and Cayden; mother and father-in-law, Verna and Arnold Schlegel; sister-in-law Kim Neil; nephews Richard, William and Gregory Neil.

Larry was preceded in death by his grandmother, Laura Aryman; father, Earl Tessmer; sister, Marvlynn Wallace; brother-in-law Bob Wallace; brother Jay Tessmer; and brother-in-law Dick Neil.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2720 N McAree Rd., Waukegan, IL.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.  Interment will be private for the family at a later date.  In lieu of flowers donations to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
