Obituary of Wanda Lou Boffer

Wanda Boffer, age 78, passed away September 5th, 2017. She was born in Palestine, IL to Rudolph and Alice Meek Brannon. She married Peter Boffer in October of 1957. She was a homemaker and later worked at Johnson Motors for 7 years and the VAMC for twenty years, retiring in 2000.

She is survived by her husband Pete; daughter, Joan; son, Thomas; and granddaughter Kathrine Boffer. She is also survived by sisters; Mary (Gary) Stevens of Robinson, IL; Beverly Catt of Temple, GA; sister-in-laws, Lana Brannon, Flat Rock, IL., and Carolyn Brannon of DeKalb, IL.

She is proceeded in death by her parents; son, Peter; sister and brother-in-law Audrey and Leroy Zent; and brothers, Ronnie and Jack

Per Wanda’s wishes, there will be no services. Interment will be at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL. Memorials in her memory can be made to Our Lady of Humility food pantry. The Congdon Funeral Home at 3012 Sheridan Road in Zion, IL is assisting the family with services.
