Obituary of Robert F Holub

Robert F. Holub, 85, passed away June 25, 2017 at his home in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois. 

Robert (Bob) was born July 14, 1931 in Warren, Minnesota. He managed the shipping department at BAT for over 30 years.  Bob co-owned Holub Development and built single family homes in the Winthrop Harbor area. He loved building sport bird-houses in retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, football, baseball and was a BEAR and CUB fan. Watching sporting events were always a fun family event. 

Bob is survived by his wife Barbara Holub; his children Elaine (Herman) Holub-Stampfli, Jeff (Yvette) Murrie, Steve Murrie, Tim (Amy Adrian) Murrie, and Amy Murrie. Grandchildren William and Julia Lust, Payton, Tyler, Hope and Mitchell Murrie, Amber (Alex) Davis-Mihelic and Autumn Davis. Great Granddaughter Monae Julia Lust-Webb, also many loving friends, cousins, and relatives. Bob was preceded in death by his sister Lillian Novak; parents Frank and Suzie Holub. 

A Memorial Service will be held July 1, 2017 at North Prairie UMC 5000 West 9th St., Winthrop Harbor, Ill. Pastor Miguel Nieves presiding. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the family are appreciated.
