Obituary of Marjorie Warthen

Thursday, October 4, 2012, Marjorie "Marge" Helen Warthen joined her husband of 69 years, Everett "Red" Warthen in Heaven, where he had been patiently waiting with a bouquet of flowers for a dance with his favorite girl. Born August 23, 1927, Marge was a loving mother to Georgia "Jo" (Carl) Carlson, and Virginia "Ginger" (John) McKinney. She was grandma to Carl (Sandy), and Ken Carlson (Monica), Rhonda K and Tim McKinney. She was Great-Grandma (Oma) to Sam, Joey, Danny, Ben, T.J., and Mikey. Marge was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lillian and William Lange, brother, William Lange, Jr., beloved husband, Red Warthen and precious daughter, Georgia "Jo" Carlson. Marge had a spine of steel and a heart of chocolate. She was never much on gardening, but she loved plants that grew strong and wild. She grew us well, she loved us well, and we will miss her so very much. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion.
