My prayers and thoughts go out to Lynn and her family. I met Donald in 2006 when Lynn was the secretary for the Memorial United Methodist Church. He was kind and always helpful. He would always say hello to me when I came into the church for a visit. I was honored to know him.

Dearest Lynn and Family.
My deepest sympathies to you in the loss of Don - your beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Is a terribly sad time for all of you, your extended family, and Don's many, many friends. I know I speak for all of my ZB Class of 55 classmates when I say Don was loved by all of us. He was our faithful, consistent link that held us classmates so close. What a kind and caring man who was loaded with so much talent - spiritual, musical, financial, and the list goes on.
Don and I were classmates all the way through school - from Kindergarten through High School. Then we worked together on our class reunions for years and years and years. He was so devoted and hard working. Incredible! Have so many wonderful memories. An important one was when we were in 6th grade, he stepped in when another nasty classmate was picking on me after school! Already a gentleman!
Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers at this very sad and difficult time.
Cherish the memories!
With love, sympathy, and prayers. Joyce McEwen Therkiildsen

Lynn, We will always remember Don as our classmate, friendly banker, loved playing in the band and loved his home town Zion.
Reunion meetings were so much fun working on them together.
Thank you to you both for starting the monthly lunch meetings on the second Tuesday at Illinois Beach State Lodge for classmates in town and those visiting.
Loren and I will miss Don's friendship and kind words.
You have our deepest sympathies Lynn and Family.

God bless the family of Donald Noren. You have my prayers and good thoughts at this time. I remember Mr. Noren as a co-worker of my Mom, Doris Dolan, at the bank. The bank was one of the places in Zion where I "grew up" as a boy, since I was always coming in there to ask or get one thing or another, and the people who worked there were almost an extended family. Donald also was one of the bank customers at my Dad's restaurant, The Oak Room, where I washed dishes.
He was a fine man, a wonderful role model, and a faithful child of God. He will be missed.
