Obituary of Howard J. Goodwin

Howard J. Goodwin, 81, of Beach Park, IL died on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, IL.

Howard was born November 2, 1935 in Winthrop Harbor, IL.   He was a Veteran having served with the United States Army.   He was a member of Lakeview Church of Zion.  Howard retired in 1995 from OMC in Waukegan after 22 years, serving 12 years as supervisor.  He also worked as a plasterer for various companies in the area over the years.  Howard enjoyed gardening and was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years Kathleen; children Amy (Thomas) Barber of Inverness, IL, Howard C. Goodwin of Kenosha, WI, and Heather (Robert) Kukla of Winthrop Harbor, IL; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother Charles (Mary) Goodwin of Zion, IL.

He was preceded in death by his son Timothy John Goodwin in 2007; two brothers and three sisters; and his parents Howard and Frances Goodwin.

Visitation will be Monday, May 22. 2017, from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Lakeview Church, 1821 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL.  A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Les Martin officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
