Obituary of Virgil L. Ford

Virgil L. Ford, 89, of Lisle, IL, died suddenly on Monday, May 8, 2017 at home.

Virgil was born February 21, 1928 in Zion, IL.  He had lived in Zion, IL, Camp Hill, PA, Pasadena, CA, Oceanside, CA, Springfield, MO, Grayslake, IL before moving to Lisle, IL 2 1/2 years ago.  He was a member of Zion Bible Mission. For 31 1\2 years he worked as a Federal Employee.

Survivors include his wife of fourteen years Audrey Ford; children Brad (Denise) Ford of Brandon, MS and Karen (Jim) Stark of Kansas City, MO;  three step-children Brian (Theresa) Fiala of Lisle, IL, Cindy (Mike) Reierson of Indianapolis, IN, and Judy Hamilton Seattle, WA;  grandchildren Keith, Lorene, Byron, Cori, and Greg;  seven step-grandchildren Heather, Anne, Eric, Joel, Leah, Kevin, and Matthew;  seven great-grandchildren;  and ten step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Lorena;  several brothers and sisters;  and his parents Elmer and Priscilla Ford;  and step-son-in-law Dennis Hamilton.

Visitation Friday May 12, 2017 from 11:00 until 12:30 p.m. At the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.
