Dear Joan, I had planned on coming this morning to the services, but my family had a death occur suddenly, and my son and his wife had to go to PA to handle affairs there. I have their four wonderful boys and can't make it. I always knew your Mom as a wonderful person who helped with Church activities and always smiled at me and treated me and mine with kindness. I never got to talk with her for long. After reading the obituary, I had learned that she loved not only children but also gardening, cats and the Cubs! Joan, she and I would have had much to talk about and enjoy together. I just never knew it. You had a wonderful Mom and you still do in your memories of her. They stay so deep in me that they give me comfort even when I hurt over their loss. You'll probably feel the same way. I hope so, because those memories keep them close to me in my heart even yet. It hurts to lose your Mom more than you expect. Call me if you need to talk; i care about you! you are a wonderful person who cares passionately about so many worthy causes and about your family and friends. I count myself as fortunate to be among one of those. In my prayers, I asked God to bless you and your family with strength and comfort as you grieve for your Mom.
